Frederick Douglass High School is a public charter school in a newly renovated facility that uses innovative academic strategies to engage students in the learning process. We are recognized by the the Ohio Department of Education as well as nationally accredited by the Advanced Accreditation Commission and Board of Trustees by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement. We are tuition free, and our teachers and staff members really care. We are committed to meeting students where they are and then helping them work at their own pace to achieve academic and personal success.
Traditional schools do not work for every student, and that's where we come in. Students can enroll with us at any time during the school year, and start earning the credits they need for graduation right away. Students have their choice of one of two sessions. One session begins in the early a.m. and the other begins later in the day. Another option is that they can do both sessions, which will enable them to complete graduation requirements even faster. It is our hope that you will encourage families or individuals to stop by our school for a visit to see for themselves that we are a valuable community resource and a viable high school option for them to accomplish one of the most important milestones of their life.
